Amelia Porter, MSc, EP, RPBio

Amelia is an Environmental Scientist and a Registered Professional Biologist. She holds a Master of Science in Environment and Management at Royal Roads University. Her graduate thesis research focused on conducting a human health risk assessment of Vancouver Island First Nation traditional seafoods, associated with persistent organic pollutants. Previously, she completed undergraduate studies in Ecology at the University of Guelph. She has ten years of professional consulting experience focused in environmental site assessment, human health and ecological risk assessment, radiological groundwater monitoring, and aquatic monitoring.

Amelia has conducted research for various non-profit organizations involved in conservation and wildlife protection. She is a passionate advocate for change in our relationships with other animals, and motivated by a vision of a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
